Luxury Homes - Footballers Special

So as the World Cup has recently come to an end and we have less than 3 weeks until the Barclays Premier League kicks off, we thought we would post a few houses we have fallen in love with in the UK belonging to football players.

Starting it off we have Robin van Persie, a Dutch football player who currently plays as a striker for English club Manchester United and is captain of the Netherlands national team. This was his 5 bedroom property in Goff's Oak which he put on the market back in 2012 before his move to United from Arsenal.

This luxury property belongs to Steven Gerrard, who currently plays for and is captain of Liverpool FC. He shares this gorgeous Victorian Style mansion with his wife, Alex Gerrard and their 3 daughters. The house features an indoor pool, children's playground and two storey leisure centre.

Next up is former England star and captain John Terry. The Chelsea FC centre back sold his 9 bedroom mansion at the beginning of this year and got himself a £10 million profit. This luxury property was built next door to his former home.

Fernando Torres plays as a striker for English club Chelsea FC and Spain's national team. Here is his stunning mansion in Woolton which he shares with his wife Olalla Dominiguez and their children, Nora and Leo.

Stoke forward Peter Crouch and his wife Abbey Clancey rented this amazing 6 bedroom mansion in Cheshire worth £4.5 million back in 2011.
